Physics Mechanics Analysis Of Square Wheel Bicycles

This study aims to explore the physics of the mechanics of a
bicycle with square wheels, an unusual but interesting design to study. The study
used an experimental approach, involving measurements of forces, torques, and
stability of the bicycle when used on various types of surfaces. Data were collected
using force meters and stability sensors mounted on the square wheel bicycle. The
results showed that the force and torque distributions on this bicycle were
significantly different compared to bicycles with round wheels. The sharp corners
of the square wheels produce higher frictional forces, thereby reducing the
efficiency of movement. Stability was also tested, showing that the bicycle was
more difficult to control at low speeds. However, at high speeds, the gyroscopic
effect of the wheels helped maintain balance. In addition, the study found that
rough surfaces worsened the stability of the bicycle due to the shocks it produced.
This is a major challenge in operating a square wheel bicycle. Although this square
wheel design provides new insights into the physics of the principles, the results
reveal that the design has limitations in efficiency and comfort compared to a
round wheel bicycle. The conclusions of this study provide an important
contribution to innovation in vehicle design and support a deeper understanding
of motion dynamics in physics of mechanics
